CREATE A MICRO-CLIMATE- multiple enclosures

Put the heat tape in the inside for maximum heating or on the outside for less heating. Put the enclosures and either move them closer or farther away from the heat tape or reptile heat pad as necessary to maintain correct temperature. Cover the top with styrofoam to lock in the heat and humidity. Back off the styrofoam a little to reduce heat to the desired level.Keep the substrate moist at all times. Measure the temperature of the substrate to determine the actual body temperature of the spider. A common mistake is to assume that the spiders body is the same temperature as the air in the room.
